Overview
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Numeracy: Numeracy is the ability to understand and work with numbers. It involves addition and subtraction of numbers. Numeracy comprises the knowledge, skills, behaviours and dispositions that students need to be able to use mathematics in a wide range of situations. It involves recognising and understanding the role of mathematics in the world and having the dispositions and capacities to use mathematical knowledge and skills purposefully. Students will use numeracy in different sectors and strategies and in their everyday activities. We need numeracy to solve problems and make sense of numbers, time, patterns and shapes. Numeracy is a guide to knowledge, and skills in mathematical concepts generally dealing with numbers and how to solve problems using these numbers, shapes or patterns.
CERTIFICATION: At the end of this course, if a student scores 80% and above in all the continuous assessment tests and assignments, you will receive a certificate from the school
