Overview
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Numeracy is the ability to understand and work with numbers. It involves addition and subtraction of numbers. Numeracy comprises the knowledge, skills, behaviours and dispositions that students need in order to use mathematics in a wide range of situations. It involves recognising and understanding the role of mathematics in the world and having the dispositions and capacities to use mathematical knowledge and skills purposefully. Students will use numeracy in different sectors and strategies and in their everyday activities. Numeracy is also a guide to knowledge, and skills in mathematical concepts generally dealing with numbers. We need numeracy to solve problems and make sense of numbers, time, patterns and shapes.

At the end of this course, if the student sores 80% and above in all continuous assessment tests and assignment, you will receive a certificate of completion from the school.
